The Hague Plant

02 Dec 2009

Liz and I have just returned from a very fruitful time in Holland. We were there for six days and it was great to see all the leaders in good heart. I think the Dutch churches are now poised for advance, particularly through church planting. Liz and I were joined by Henk Kersten, Steve Blaber and Chris Taylor for a day in The Hague, where Chris will be planting an International church from next April. I was overwhelmed by the potential of seeing a vibrant church in this massively influential city. I believe this could become one of the most significant churches yet to be planted by Newfrontiers...time will tell.

I also had the privilege of speaking at a conference for all the Dutch churches on "Battle for the Mind". My book on this subject is about to be translated into Dutch and it was great to be speaking on this vital topic again. I first covered the material in 1986! I was a little apprehensive to start with, but quickly realised that the material never gets old, in fact, there is now a whole new generation needing to hear it. People were very receptive. I may consider doing more of this in the future.
